damn, I didn't realize scotland was that big, to hold 282 mountains. Thanks for the post.

Quite the achievement!
In a way it is to bad they keep or publicize the youngest record. At some point a "well intentioned " parent will cross the line into child abuse in order to beat the record.

Just to be a spoil sport:

One also needs to consider that kids' bones and joints haven't reached their final, mature forms at those ages and are fairly "plastic". As such there is a very real possibility of causing permanent and damaging distortions to their feet especially but also the entire lower limb.

Seems like an amazing kid.

I plan on bagging the Munros before I kick the bucket.

From the map you provided those mountains look pretty dense. There is a nice spread. I will have to look at the map more closely, I hope it is interactive.
